Laurence Aberhart is an internationally renowned New Zealand photographer who uses an 8x10 inch view camera and whose photographs are meticulous contact prints.


His work is represented in the Hallmark and Readers' Digest Collections in USA; Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, France; National Gallery of Australia; Te Papa Tongarewa / Museum of New Zealand, and in significant collections in New Zealand, Hong Kong, USA & Australia. His exhibitions include: 'Laurence Aberhart', The Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2002); 'Ghostwriting: Photographs of Macau', Macau Museum of Art, Macau (2001); 'All Gates Open, photographs by Laurence Aberhart', touring exhibition, New Zealand (1999/2000); 'Nature Morte, 105 Photographs, 1971-1989', National Art Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand (1990).
